1.  On your phone, hit the Voice Mail button.
  2. When prompted, enter your password.  It is defaulted to 1234.
  3. You will be prompted to change your password.  Your new password must be at least 4 digits long.  Press # when finished.
  4. Re-enter your password followed by #.
  5. You will be asked to record your name.  Follow the prompts to record and save your name.
  6. Once you are finished, you can record your greeting messages.  The easiest way to do it is though the Mitel Connect that is installed on your computer.
    1. Open the Mitel Connect
    2. Click the down arrow next to Connect in the menu bar at the top of the window and click Settings.
    3. Click Call Routing.  In the When box, select the mode you want to record a greeting for.
    4. You can step through the wizard to change settings or just click the Record button.
    5. On the Record screen, click the round red button to begin your recording.         You can create the recording using your Mitel phone or using your computer’s microphone.  When you finish recording, click the red square to stop recording.  Click Save if you are satisfied with the recording.
    6. You can record messages for the other Call Handling Modes in the When box.  It is recommended that you record one for Out of Office, especially if you are going to be gone for the day or going on vacation.

 

Checking Voice Mail

  1. From your own extension – On your phone, press the Voice Mail button or press #.  At the prompt, enter your password. 

(Note:  If you have not set a password, the default is 1234.  If you are logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password and record your name.  Follow the prompts to check your messages.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. From a different extension – Press the Voice Mail button on the phone or press #.  When prompted for the password, press #.  You will be prompted to enter your extension number and password.  Follow the prompts to check your messages.

 

  1. From an outside phone – Dial into the Auto Attendant.  
    • New York users, dial 518-494-6000.  
    • Florida users, dial 727-856-7575.  

Once you hear the greeting, press #.  You will be prompted to enter your extension number and password.  Follow the prompts to check your messages.

 

 

 

  1. From Mitel Connect – Click Voicemails on the left of the Mitel Connect window.  Double click the voice mail you wish to listen to.  The message will automatically play through your Mitel phone or your computer speakers.  You can use the tools to play or stop the message.
